This August & November: Cry Baby!
With a new year comes a new movie! The Denton Delinquents are SO excited to present: Cry Baby!
Join us for a Sing-A-Long and live shadow-casted presentation of one of our all time favorite John Water's musicals!
You know the deal, much like Rocky Horror, we play the movie on the screen and perform along with it; with props, costuming and make up! As ALWAYS, audience participation is strongly encouraged - bring your friends, dress up in your best 80's attire, or as your favorite character and sing along with all your favorite songs!
"Cry Baby" centers on the romance between Allison Vernon-Williams, a "square" girl from a respectable family, and Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, a rebellious "drape" (John Waters' term for a juvenile delinquent) in 1950s Baltimore. Their love affair sparks conflict with Allison's preppy boyfriend, Baldwin, and his group of "squares," leading to drama, social clashes, and ultimately, a battle between the two groups.
